MONTEREY PARK, CALIFORNIA (December 23, 2016) – 25 year old Eugenia Zavaleta has been identified as the passenger killed in a tragic DUI accident on the 60 Freeway on Friday, according to the CHP. (map)
The accident happened around 3:45 am on the westbound side of the 60 Freeway. Eugenia Zavaleta was traveling as a passenger in a 2012 Hyundai that hit the center divider for unknown reasons.
Eugenia Zavaleta was tragically pronounced dead as a result of injuries she sustained in the accident. The 27 year old driver of the Hyundai was rushed to a local hospital with major injuries, and was arrested for DUI. The investigation remains under investigation.
