The accident happened around 7:06 pm on Highway 14 near a Motel 6. Two pedestrians who remain unidentified were struck by a car on Highway 14, in the northbound lanes.
Responding emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and confirmed at least one of the pedestrians had been killed, and it is unknown whether the second pedestrian was killed as well. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
“According to experts drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm, a California pedestrian accident and personal injury law firm.
