MODESTO, CALIFORNIA (January 21, 2017) – An elderly woman in a motor-home was killed in an accident on Saturday morning on Highway 99 near 9th Street, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 4:20 am on Highway 99 near 9th Street. A Honda sideswiped a motor-home on Highway 99 near 9th Street for unknown reasons. The motor-home sustained significant damage in the collision.

An 84 year old woman in the back of the motor-home was tragically killed in the accident. A 60 year old male driver, and a 50 year old female in the front seat were both rushed to a hospital with unspecified injuries related to the accident. The driver of the Honda abandoned his vehicle at the scene and fled on foot. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
