MODESTO, CALIFORNIA (January 19, 2017) – One person was killed, and another was badly injured in a three car accident on Highway 132 and Stone Avenue on Thursday morning, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 5:30 am at the intersection of Maze Boulevard (Highway 132) and Stone Avenue. A 19 year old man from Modesto was reportedly driving a 1994 Mercedes east when he swerved into the westbound lanes and crashed into a 2008 Subaru driven by a 35 year old man. The Subaru then crashed into a 2005 Ford pickup truck driven by a 23 year old man.

The 19 year old in the Mercedes was tragically declared dead at the scene. The 23 year old driver of the Ford, Lenin Cordova Moreno, was seriously injured and rushed to a nearby hospital in Modesto. The driver of the Subaru, 35 year old Enrique Hernandez, reported no injuries. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
