MODESTO, CALIFORNIA (January 15, 2017) – Nichole Martinez has been identified as the victim killed in a tragic accident on East Briggsmore Avenue on Sunday evening, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 10:00 pm on East Briggsmore Avenue near Coffee Road. 36 year old Nichole Martinez was a passenger inside a Chevrolet Corvette driven by a 35 year old man. The Corvette approached the stop light at Coffee Road heading westbound on Briggsmore Avenue, and stopped at a red light. A friend allegedly pulled up beside the Corvette, and when the light turned green the driver of the Corvette rapidly accelerated. He then lost control and struck a tree nearby.
Nichole Martinez was rushed to a nearby hospital, but was tragically pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver of the car, identified as Kaleb Isley, sustained moderate injuries in the accident. The crash remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
