MODESTO, CALIFORNIA (March 13, 2017) – An 11 year old boy was tragically killed in a hit and run collision on Monday evening on Carpenter Road, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened at the intersection of Carpenter Road and Hatch Road. Traves Krause was driving a Dodge up and down Carpenter Road at 100 mph, when a Toyota carrying four people approached the intersection. The Toyota entered the intersection and was struck on the drivers side by the Dodge. Traves Krause then immediately fled the scene.
An 11 year old boy inside the Toyota was rushed to a hospital and tragically pronounced dead. The driver, 30 year old Mayra Rangel, was also injured, as was 34 year old Jose Ramirez, and a 9 year old little girl. Authorities later located Traves Krause and he was placed under arrest. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
