MISSION VIEJO, CALIFORNIA (April 18, 2017) – Two vehicles were reportedly involved in an accident on the 5 Freeway on Tuesday, according to a California Highway Patrol report. (map)
The accident happened around 11:55 am on the northbound side of Interstate 5, near Oso Parkway. Two vehicles, one of which was reportedly a Honda Civic, were involved in an accident for an unknown reason, leaving one on the right hand shoulder and another blocking the No. 1 and 2 lanes. Good Samaritans at the scene were reportedly attempting to get at least one person out of their vehicle.
At least one person was injured, and paramedics responded to the scene. A female was seen walking on the right shoulder carrying an infant, but it is unknown if she was involved in the accident or not. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
