FRESNO, CALIFORNIA (March 20, 2017) – A 12 year old girl was struck by a car and killed on Monday morning on Armstrong Avenue, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 6:30 am, on Armstrong Avenue and Butler Avenue in Fresno. 12 year old Mina Vang was crossing the street to catch her bus to school when she was struck by a pickup truck.
Mina Vang was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center, where she was tragically pronounced dead a short time later. The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and stated he did not see the young girl as she stepped out in to the street. Initial reports indicate the driver was not under the influence, and was traveling below the speed limit at the time of the accident. The tragic accident remains under investigation at this time.
