VICTORVILLE, CALIFORNIA (February 17, 2017) – A married father of two was one of several victims who suffered fatal accidents on Friday evening during the heavy storms that swept through SoCal, according to local news sources. (map)
41-year-old Michael Douglas Williams was crossing Pebble Beach Drive near Arrowhead Drive in his silver BMW, around 5:50 p.m., when his car and another vehicle were suddenly swept away in a flash flood. The flood took the cars downstream and came to rest on the grounds of Pebble Beach Park.
Williams was tragically unable to escape his BMW as water began to flow over the car and through the sunroof. Michael Williams was extricated by fire personnel, but was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The street was not closed off despite the heavy levels of water in the area.
“Sadly, there are no words that can comfort all family members and friends affected by this tragic accident,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm. “Our thoughts and prayers are with all those involved.”
