MEYERSDALE, PENNSYLVANIA (April 22, 2017) – A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a train near Main Street on Saturday night, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 10:50 pm near the intersection of Main Street and Light Street. A pedestrian was struck by a CSX train for an unknown reason at the tracks near the intersection.

The pedestrian, who remains unidentified, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene as a result of their injuries. The accident remains under investigation to determine cause and liability at this time.
