MERCED, CALIFORNIA (May 16, 2017) – Two to three vehicles were involved in a head on collision on State Route 59 on Tuesday morning, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 10:50 am at the intersection of State Route 59 and Reilly Road. An SUV, a Toyota Camry, and possibly another vehicle collided for an unknown reason. The SUV sustained major front end damages in the accident and so did the Toyota Camry.
At least one person was pronounced dead in the accident, and the incident remains under active investigation to determine cause and liability at this time.
