MERCED, CALIFORNIA (February 15, 2017) – A woman was killed and her twin boys were injured in an accident on Wednesday morning on Highway 140, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 8:27 am at the intersection of Highway 140 and Orchard Drive. A blue 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by 38 year old Tony Lane swerved off the road and struck a concrete embankment for unknown reasons.
The accident left Tony Lane trapped inside the car, and once extricated she was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Tony Lane’s three year old twin boys were also in the car and were taken to Doctors Medical Center with unknown injuries. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
