The accident happened around 1:27 pm on Highway 101. Two sedans reportedly collided head on for unknown reasons on the highway near Laytonville.
Two people sustained serious injuries in the accident, and both were airlifted to hospitals in the area by responding medical personnel. Their current condition is unknown. The investigation is ongoing.
