The accident occurred at the intersection of County Road G and 140th Avenue. Megan Bennig was driving a 2001 Toyota Corolla when she entered the intersection, and was struck by a semi truck driven by a 19 year old.
Megan tragically did not survive the accident. The semi truck driver was reportedly uninjured and was identified as Weston Gray from Centuria.
Megan was attending New Richmond High School, where her father Trent is an instructor. She was a junior, and a member of the school’s soccer team. A memorial at the school dedicated to Megan has been growing since the accident.
“There are no words that can adequately express our condolences to the family and friends of Megan Bennig, whose life was cut short by this terrible accident. This is a tragedy beyond comprehension, and we hope that all those involved in this accident are able to find peace,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law.
