MEAD VALLEY, CALIFORNIA (July 2, 2017) – Two people were injured in a vehicle collision at the intersection of Cajalco and Wood Roads Sunday morning, according to reports from Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department. (map)
The collision was reported at approximately 11:23 a.m. The vehicles involved in the crash were a SUV, minivan, and a sedan. The SUV was found on its side. There may have been a fourth vehicle involved, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Extrication methods were used to free some people from the wreckage. One person sustained major injuries while another suffered moderate injuries. Both were transported to the hospital for treatment. It is unclear, at this time, which vehicle did the victims occupy.
No other details of the accident were immediately available An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision.
