ELK GROVE, CALIFORNIA (March 7, 2017) – A 23 year old man was killed in a collision on Interstate 5 on March 1, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 7:50 pm on the southbound side of Interstate 5, when a big rig was rear ended, pushing it into Matthew Micenheimer’s vehicle. Both the big rig and Matthew’s car then caught fire.
Matthew Micenheimer was tragically pronounced dead as a result of his injuries. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
