SAN LUIS OBISPO, CALIFORNIA (March 21, 2017) – Matthew Frank has been identified as the man killed in a crash on Highway 101 on Tuesday morning, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 3:53 am on the northbound side of Highway 101 near Santa Margarita. 30 year old Matthew Frank, known locally as the “SLOStringer”, was traveling northbound when he drove off the roadway for an unknown reason, rolling over and crashing into a tree. The vehicle landed upright on its wheels and then caught fire.
Matthew Frank was tragically declared dead at the scene by responding emergency medical personnel. The accident remains under active investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
