The accident happened around 3:17 pm on the northbound side of State Route 144 near Great Park Boulevard. 75 year old Mark Miller was operating a Honda Silver Wing in the No. 4 lane when a Ford F-150 approached from the rear, traveling at a higher rate of speed than the motorcyclist. The pickup truck veered to the left as if to go around Mark Miller, then swerved back to the right, striking his motorcycle.
Miller was ejected from his motorcycle and was rushed to Orange County Global Medical Center, where he was sadly pronounced dead as a result of the accident. The driver of the pickup truck, identified only as a 31 year old man from Santa Ana, was not injured in the accident. Initial reports indicate that authorities do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the accident, but the investigation is ongoing at this time.
“Sadly, there are no words that can comfort all family members and friends as they cope with such tragic loss,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm. “Our thoughts and prayers are with all parties affected in this tragedy as they try to piece together what happened.”
