“Street Sweeper Accident”
STANTON, CALIFORNIA (September 1, 2017) – A man was killed in a collision with a street sweeper on Friday morning, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 2:35 am on Cerritos Avenue, just east of Knott Avenue. A man driving a Scion was involved in a head on collision with a street sweeper for an unknown reason.
The man driving the Scion was tragically pronounced dead at the scene as a result of his injuries. The driver of the street sweeper was taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries. The street sweeper is not under contract with the city of Stanton, but was on its way to a work assignment at the time of the accident. The collision remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
