MALIBU, CALIFORNIA (April 18, 2017) – Three vehicles were involved in an accident that authorities suspect may have been attributed to DUI on Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. (map)
The accident happened around 10:11 am on Pacific Coast Highway near Mulholland Highway. A maroon Subaru or Nissan, a yellow compact vehicle, and a black compact vehicle were involved in a collision for an unknown reason. The maroon vehicle was possibly racing one or both of the other vehicles prior to the accident.
The condition of those involved in the accident is unknown at this time, but a party at the scene reported that the driver of the maroon vehicle may have been under the influence at the time of the accident. The accident remains under active investigation to determine cause and liability at this time.
