“State Fair Accident”
COLUMBUS, OHIO (July 26, 2017) – 36 year old Tamika Dunlap was injured in a terrible accident at the Ohio State fair on Wednesday evening, according to a local news source. (map)
The pendulum style ride, called “Fire Ball”, reportedly experienced a malfunction around 7:30 pm. A person flew off the ride, causing the operator to use the emergency stop button. One of the chair sections subsequently separated from the ride, throwing more people to the ground in the process.
36 year old Tamika Dunlap was injured in the accident. Six others were also injured, and an 18 year old boy was killed. The accident remains under open investigation at this time and the ride has been shut down.
