MADERA, CALIFORNIA (February 7, 2017) – According to the California Highway Patrol, a 83-year-old woman was killed and two people were hospitalized on Tuesday after a collision at the intersection of Road 19 and Avenue 14, north of Bonita Market and Taqueria. (map)
The CHP reported that a 2007 Ford, driven by 86-year-old Wilbur Olson, was traveling southbound on Road 19 when he collided with a 2008 Ford, driven by 61-year-old Guadalupe Gonzalez, that was traveling eastbound on Avenue 14.
The CHP stated that Olson was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center but his female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. Gonzalez was transported to Madera Community Hospital.
