“Police Chase Accident”
LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA (February 6, 2017) – Officers were involved in a high speed chase that ended in a collision on Monday morning on Norton Avenue, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 12:30 am on Monday. Officers were pursuing a stolen 2016 Ford Mustang with two women and a man inside that fled from Buena Park to Lynwood. The Mustang eventually lost control and crashed into a parked vehicle and then rolled over near Norton Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard.
The two women and the man inside were all injured, and were rushed to a hospital after being extricated from the wreckage. The officer was also injured in the accident and was hospitalized. The accident remains under investigation.
