OLIVEHURST, CALIFORNIA (February 24, 2017) – Luke Delia has been identified as the passenger that was killed in a DUI Crash on Friday morning on Highway 70, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 1:35 a.m. on southbound Highway 70, near Chestnut Road. 28-year-old Luke Delia was riding as a passenger in a 2003 Acura driven by a 33-year-old man. The Acura was heading southbound nearing Erle Road when it crashed into the center divider and then lost control, veering across all lanes of the highway. The car then swerved into the shoulder, flipping over and crashing through the chain link fence before landing on its roof.
Luke Delia was tragically pronounced dead at the scene by responding medical personnel. The driver was identified as 33-year-old William Woolery. William was treated for injuries and then arrested for driving under the influence. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
