“Students in school bus were uninjured”
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (January 27, 2017) – According to the Los Angeles Police Department, two people were hospitalized on Friday after a school bus collision at the intersection of 65th Street and Normandie Avenue. (map)
LAPD Sergeant Joseph Ivankay reported that the school bus, driven by 51-year-old Los Angeles resident, was traveling northbound on Normandie around 6:30 a.m. when a white 1998 Isuzu, driven by a 39-year-old Los Angeles man, crossed over the double-yellow line for unknown reasons and crashed into the school bus that was transporting seven middle school students.
Sergeant Ivankay states that the students walked away uninjured while the bus driver and the motorist of the Isuzu were transported to a hospital with complaints of pain.
