LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (April 2, 2017) — A milk tanker crash occurred on Tuesday evening on southbound State Route 2 in the Glassell Park area. (map)
The accident occurred at about 5 p.m. The collision involved three cars and a tanker carrying milk, causing the tanker to overturn and shutting down all southbound lanes. Five people were temporarily trapped inside their cars and emergency vehicles were dispatched to assist injured victims.
Seven people sustained injuries, three were critically injured. Five females and two males were taken to the hospital, including a 16-year-old girl. The cause and liability of the crash is still unclear and the investigation is ongoing.
