LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (April 13, 2017) – At least one person was injured in a collision on the 5 Freeway on Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. (map)
The accident happened around 10:08 am on the northbound side of Interstate 5, near Broadway. A maroon Nissan struck a white Ford van for an unknown reason, and a third vehicle was also reportedly involved.
An elderly man was reported as sustaining injuries, and reports also indicated that a party in the Nissan may have been having a medical emergency. Paramedics rushed to the scene, and the condition of all those involved is unknown. The accident remains under investigation.
