The accident happened around 1:30 pm at or near the intersection of east 70th Street and south Central Avenue. A pedestrian was struck by a burgundy Chevrolet Impala for a unknown reason.
An ambulance responded to the scene, but the condition of the pedestrian is unknown at this time. The accident remains under active investigation to determine cause and liability.
“According to experts drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm, a California pedestrian accident and personal injury law firm.
