LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (January 28, 2017) – A pedestrian was killed on Saturday morning after they were struck by a big rig on Highway 60, according to a California Highway Patrol report. (map)
The accident happened around 3:15 am on the westbound side of Highway 60 near Rosemead Boulevard. A pedestrian allegedly stepped out into traffic lanes, and was struck by a big rig heading westbound.
The pedestrian was tragically pronounced dead at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the accident. The driver of the big rig stayed at the scene and cooperated with local authorities as they continue their ongoing investigation.
