LOS ANGELES: One Dead after Fire at Los Angeles Home on 106th Street

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (April 20, 2017) – A fire at a Los Angeles home killed at least one person on Thursday evening, according to a local news source. (map)

The fire was first reported around 5:25 pm at 817 W 106th Street. A 944 sq foot single family residence caught on fire for an unknown reason, primarily in the front of the home. The residence was not equipped with any smoke alarms at the time of the fire.

A man in his 40’s was tragically killed in the fire despite extensive rescue efforts by the Los Angeles Fire Department. The fire remains under active investigation to determine cause and liability at this time.
