LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (January 10, 2017) – One person was killed in an accident on the 5 Freeway on Tuesday morning, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 2:55 am on the southbound side of the 5 Freeway near Indiana Street. A gray sedan was traveling at a high speed when it was involved in a collision with a black van. Subsequently, a man exited one of the involved vehicles and was then hit by a black sedan.

Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene to tend to the man, who was reportedly injured in the accident. His current condition is unknown. The investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability.
