“Multiple Injuries Reported”
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (April 4, 2017) – Four vehicles were involved in a collision with a milk tanker on the southbound lanes of Highway 2 in the Glassell Park area of Los Angeles Tuesday afternoon, according local Fire Officials. (map)
The incident occurred at approximately 5:00 p.m. An initial report indicated that at at least eight people were injured in the collision. Of those eight, seven people were transported to a hospital for treatment of the injuries sustained in the collision. Six people were pinned inside the vehicles, forcing firefighters to free them from the crash. Three out of the seven victims involved in the collision sustained critical injuries.
A milk tanker overturned and rested on its side and a milk spillage ensued. Two of the vehicle sustained major damage. All lanes of the highway were closed for the cleaning of the debris and wreckage from the highway. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident.
