LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (January 28, 2017) –A man was killed after being hit by a car on Saturday morning at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Commonwealth Avenue, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 3:40 am at the intersection of South Commonwealth Avenue and Wilshire Boulevard. Authorities found a man in his 50s lying in the westbound lanes.

The pedestrian was tragically declared dead at the scene by responding medical personnel. The man had sustained injuries consistent with being s struck by a car, but the involved vehicle was not found at the scene. The accident remains under open investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
