LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (January 14, 2017) – A 52 year old Uber driver was killed in a hit and run on Saturday on Martin Luther King Boulevard near Arlington Avenue, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 3:40 am at the intersection of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Arlington Avenue. 52 year old Folesha Parker Iverson was driving eastbound down Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, while a silver Infiniti was heading north on Arlington Avenue before it collided with Folesha Parker Iverson’s vehicle at the intersection.
Folesha Parker Iverson was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, while her male passenger was pinned inside the wreckage and had to be extricated by firefighters. He was then rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The driver that struck Folesha’s car and at least one passenger both abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. The LAPD has arrested one person in connection with the deadly accident at this time.
