LOS ANGELES, CA (February 21, 2017) – A DUI collision occurred on Monday night at 1599 West Pico Boulevard next to South Union Avenue. (map)
The accident occurred around 8:57 p.m. According to reports from police, two cars crashed into one another which sent one of the cars careening into the planter that was out in front of a fast food restaurant. This particular vehicle was carrying a family of four. As a result, the two parents in the vehicle, as well as a 17-year-old boy, suffered from bruises, bumps, and pain. A 9-month-old boy in the same sustained an abrasion with a bump to his forehead. Firefighters and paramedics arrived to the scene to attend to the injured victims.
The female driver of the second vehicle was also injured and had to be taken to the hospital. This woman was later taken to jail and booked under suspicion of DUI. An investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability.
