LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (January 24, 2017) – At least five cars were involved in a collision on the 5 Freeway near Cesar Chavez Avenue on Tuesday evening, according to a California Highway Patrol report. (map)
The accident happened around 8:12 pm on the northbound side of the 5 Freeway near East Cesar Chavez Avenue. A semi-truck, a white pickup truck, a Chevrolet sedan, and a Toyota Yaris were among the vehicles involved.
Paramedics responded to the scene after a report of injuries, and the condition of those involved is unknown at this time. The accident remains under investigation to determine cause and liability.
