LOS ALTOS HILLS, CALIFORNIA (February 20, 2017) – At least one person was killed after an accident on Monday night on the 280 Freeway near El Monte Road, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 6:50 p.m. on the southbound side of the 280 Freeway near the El Monte Road off-ramp. At least four unidentified vehicles were involved in a crash for unknown reasons. The collision caused several vehicles to spin out. One white sedan was found in a ditch on the right shoulder, stuck in the mud.

Tragically, at least one person was confirmed to have been killed in the accident. Emergency medical personnel responded to tend to those injured in the accident as well. The investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time, as authorities attempt to determine cause and liability.
