LORDSBURG, NEW MEXICO (February 23, 2017) – Two women killed in an accident on Interstate 10 on Thursday have been identified as Gail Boulanger and Helen Mitchner, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened on Thursday afternoon on Interstate 10 near Lordsburg. A dust storm was rendering visibility low and a passenger car became sandwiched between two semi-trucks.

The two people inside the passenger car, 64-year-old Gail Boulanger from Redondo Beach, California and 83-year-old Helen Mitchner of Spring Hill, Florida were both pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing into this tragic accident to determine cause and liability.
