The accident happened around 1:11 am at the intersection of 6th Street and Park Avenue. A pedestrian was struck by a car, becoming trapped underneath the engine compartment.

The pedestrian was tragically pronounced dead at the scene as a result of their injuries. The accident remains under open investigation to determine cause and liability.
