LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA (March 8, 2017) – Several vehicles were involved in a rollover crash on the eastbound 91 Freeway near Downey Avenue Wednesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol. (map)
The accident occurred at approximately 3:12 p.m. Authorities responded to a collision on the eastbound section of the 91 Freeway east of Downey Avenue. A red Honda Civic was overturned while a red Chevrolet sedan rested over the embankment. There was a white Honda CRV on the right side of the roadway and two other vehicles that were not identified.
One person from the overturned was seen on the ground. Rescue crews were dispatched to the scene to aid the victims of the collision medical treatment. No other information concerning the severity of the injuries were available at the time of the incident. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident.
