LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA (April 9, 2017) – At least one person was killed in a collision on the 405 Freeway on Sunday morning, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 3:00 am on the northbound side of the 405 Freeway, near the Palo Verde Avenue exit. A traffic accident was reported, involving an unknown number of vehicles. At least one car caught on fire and was fully engulfed almost immediately.
At least one person was declared dead at the scene as a result of the accident. Another person was rushed to a hospital, and their current condition is unknown at this time. The accident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol at this time.
