LOGAN COUNTY, ARKANSAS (February 27, 2017) – One man was killed and another was seriously injured in a semi-truck accident on Monday afternoon on Highway 23 and Highway 22, according to a local news source. (map)
Around 4:30 p.m., 45-year-old Darin Lee Moeller was traveling north along Highway 23 in a Freightliner semi-truck, while 48-year-old Bobby Eugene Bonds was heading west on Highway 22 in a Peterbilt big rig. The two collided at the intersection of Highway 22 and Highway 23, causing Moeller’s trailer to flip over and crush Bond’s semi-truck.
Darin Lee Moeller was tragically pronounced dead at the scene as a result of his injuries. Bobby Eugene Bonds was rushed to Mercy Hospital in serious condition. The accident remains under open investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
