LEMOORE, CALIFORNIA (April 13, 2017) – California Highway Patrol reported a 15-20 vehicle crash on Thursday afternoon just south of the Naval Air Station Lemoore, off the Highway 198. (map)
The accident occurred at about 3:00 p.m. According to the CHP report, a head-on collision occurred at Avenal Cutoff Road, south of Jackson Avenue, which caused a chain reaction . According to Officer Justin Montooth, a dust cloud as well as low visibility may have contributed to the crash.
At least one person was injured, but no other information is available at this time. CHP is currently investigating the accident.
