LEMON GROVE, CALIFORNIA (February 1, 2017) – Two cars were involved in a fatal head on collision on Wednesday morning at the intersection of Lemon Grove Avenue and Massachusetts Avenue, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 4:00 pm near Massachusetts Avenue and Lemon Grove Avenue when a black Acura sedan turned in front of an SUV of unidentified model. The sedan suffered serious damages in the accident.

Five people were inside the Acura at the time of the accident, and 18 year old Lizbeth Soto and her 13 year old brother Alexander Soto were tragically pronounced dead at the scene. 7 year old Camila Nava was rushed to the hospital, where she tragically died a short time later. Two others from the Acura including a 4 year old child were injured badly and were rushed to a hospital after the accident. The incident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
