LEMON GROVE, CALIFORNIA (March 2, 2017) – 18 year old Lizbeth Soto, her 13 year old brother Alexander Soto, and 7 year old Camila Nava were all tragically killed in an accident on February 1st, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 4:00 p.m. at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Lemon Grove Avenue. Five members of a family were traveling to a car wash when they were involved in a serious accident. The family’s 2006 Acura sedan, driven by 20 year old Emily Soto, was turning left from northbound Lemon Grove Avenue onto west Massachusetts Avenue when they were struck head on by a southbound 2003 Dodge Durango.
Lizbeth Soto and Alexander Soto were tragically pronounced dead at the scene. 7 year old Camila Nava was rushed to a hospital, where she tragically succumbed to her injuries and died. Emily Soto and 4 year old Melina Cardenas, also in the Acura, were critically injured and remain hospitalized. The driver of the Dodge was initially hospitalized, but was released. The accident remains under investigation.
