SANTA ROSA, CALIFORNIA (December 16, 2017) – Lelis Navas Gutierrez was identified as the woman that was tragically killed in a car accident on Santa Rosa Road on Saturday, according to an article by VCStar. (map)
The accident happened around 2:24 pm at the intersection of Santa Rosa Road and East Las Posas Road. 41 year old Lelis Gutierrez was traveling southbound on East Las Posas Road in a Toyota Corolla when she attempted to make a left turn onto eastbound Santa Rosa Road. As she made the turn, a pickup truck driven by a male that was heading eastbound on Santa Rosa Road collided with her vehicle.
Lelis Navas Gutierrez was tragically pronounced dead as a result of the accident. The driver of the pickup truck was hospitalized with neck and back pain after the accident. The collision remains under investigation to determine who had the right of way at the time of the accident. Initial reports indicate that authorities do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision.
