“Multi Car Collision”
LEBEC, CALIFORNIA (January 23, 2017) – At least 15 vehicles were involved in a collision on Monday morning on Interstate 5 near Grapevine Road, according to a California Highway Patrol report. (map)
The accident happened around 4:13 am on the 5 Freeway near Grapevine Road. 25 year old Gustavo Soria lost control of his 2014 Braun, and was struck by 57 year old Cruz Mendoza driving a 2015 Chevrolet. Cruz Mendoza was then struck by 32 year old Jesse Ward driving a 2005 Toyota. The reports indicate at least 12 other vehicles may have been involved.
Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene, but the condition of those involved in the accident is unknown at this time. The injuries sustained by Gustavo Soria, Cruz Mendoza, and Jesse Ward are unknown. The accident remains under active investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
