LAS VEGAS, NEVADA (June 11, 2017) – A 34-year-old woman was involved in a single vehicle collision on State Route 160 near Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Sunday afternoon, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol. (map)
The accident occurred at approximately 12:40 p.m. The driver of a red 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander traveling northbound on State Route 160, went off the roadway for unknown reasons, struck a tree and fence before rolling into a gorge, according to NHP officials.
There were four occupants in the vehicle. All of which were transported to University Medical Center for treatment of major injuries. The 34-year-old woman was occupying the rear right seat of the Outlander. The woman later succumbed to her injuries while in the hospital. The identities of the victims involved were not yet released. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident.
