LAKE PANASOFFKEE: 14 Injured in Airboat Accident, Two Critical

LAKE PANASOFFKEE, FLORIDA (October 24, 2017) – 14 people were injured in an airboat crash on Lake Panasoffkee on Tuesday morning, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 10:40 am on Lake Panasoffkee. An airboat belonging to Tom and Jerry’s Airboat Rides was involved in an accident for an unknown reason, with 15 passengers on board.

14 of those on the boat were injured, with two reporting critical injuries, three with serious injuries, and five more hospitalized in unknown condition.

The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability. The Florida Wildlife and Fish Commission is heading up the investigation into the accident at this time.
