At 12:30 p.m., Connie Davis Kloepfer, 58, Brad Kloepfer, 69, alongside their friend, Paul Selberg, 57, were traveling at high speeds in a boat on Lake Havasu. Brad Loepfer was identified as the one who was operating the boat when it crashed in the South Basin of Lake Havasu, near the Contact Point Safety Center.
The three victims were immediately transported to the Havasu Regional Medical Center. The two men succumbed to their injuries and died. The woman was listed for her critical injuries and is receiving treatment.
Initial reports indicate that all three victims were wearing life jacket, and the boat operator was wearing his safety kill switch. It is unclear at the time if the safety kill switch was fully function at the time of the accident.
